Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Bilingual Marketing Associate to join our growing insurance agency. In this role, you will be the bridge between our comprehensive insurance and tax solutions and the Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, other language speaking community. You will develop and execute localized marketing campaigns, cultivate relationships with community partners, and generate leads to help families and businesses protect what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships with local Chinese-owned businesses, community centers, and professional organizations.
  • Cultural Content Creation: Translate, adapt, and create engaging marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, digital ads) that resonates culturally with Mandarin- and/or Cantonese-speaking audiences.
  • Digital & Social Media Management: Manage the agency’s presence on key cultural platforms (such as WeChat) as well as mainstream channels (Facebook, LinkedIn) to build brand awareness and capture leads.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate and represent the agency at local community events, health fairs, business expos, and educational seminars.
  • Lead Generation Support: Follow up on marketing-generated leads, conduct initial discovery conversations in the preferred language, and smoothly hand off qualified prospects to licensed insurance agents.
  • Market Research: Monitor local demographic trends and competitor activities within the Chinese-speaking market to identify new growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Language Proficiency: Absolute fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, other languages (written and spoken).
  • Licensing (Optional but a Plus): An active Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life & Health (L&H) insurance license is preferred. Willingness to obtain licensing (sponsored by the agency) within the first 60 days is a major advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and standard social media platforms. Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong cultural empathy, high organization, and a self-motivated mindset.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses/commissions.
  • Medical premium reimbursement
  • Paid time off (PTO) and observed holidays.
  • Agency-sponsored professional development and insurance licensing.
  • Sponsorship for H1b and OPT

Pay: $51,325.40 - $100,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person

Visa sponsorship record

No public sponsorship records found

We didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name Bamboo Advisor in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).

Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.

Which visas can work for this job

Occupation: Market Research Analysts and Marketing Specialists (SOC 13-1161) — estimated from the job title.

  • Mentioned in the listing

    H-1B, OPT

  • H-1B cap-exempt employer

Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).

  • TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)

This role doesn't clearly match a profession on the USMCA (TN) list.

  • E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)

Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

  • O-1 (extraordinary ability)

For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.

Salary vs prevailing wage
