Job description

About Interface.ai

interface.ai is the agentic AI platform for financial services — bringing conversational and agentic AI to the credit unions and community banks that serve everyday Americans. We're not a lab, we're not a demo company, and we're not burning runway on hypotheticals. We are in production, generating real revenue, and on a mission that matters: making intelligent financial services available to the millions of people who've never had a private banker.
More than 100 banks and credit unions run on interface.ai, reaching over 10 million people. Many products are live today; the biggest bets — an AI-first contact center and an AI-native consumer banking experience — are what comes next. Backed by $30M in Series A funding and already cash-flow positive, we're at the inflection point: a proven product, paying customers, and a profitable business rebuilding itself as an AI-native company to lead a world where agents, not software, do the work.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you own a welldefined subdomain or initiative endtoend — not a full domain, but real outcomes within one, under real (if bounded) ambiguity. You partner with a senior engineer as a nearpeer, shape the sequencing of your own roadmap within the direction set by domain leadership, and mentor the PMs executing alongside you. This is the seat for someone ready to move past pure execution into real ownership, without yet carrying an entire domain's strategy.
What You'll Own

  • Outcomes for a defined subdomain or initiative — not just what ships, but whether it worked
  • A roadmap for your area, sequenced and defended within the direction domain leadership has set
  • Real technical engagement — debating tradeoffs with your engineering partner, not just handing over prioritized tickets
  • Mentorship for PMs working within your area
  • An AInative way of working — using AI daily to prototype, analyze, and accelerate real work
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years in product management, including owning outcomes (not just execution) for at least one product area
  • Comfortable with moderate ambiguity — the domain's direction is set by leadership, but you fill in the real plan for your piece of it
  • Technical enough to engage directly with engineers on tradeoffs, not just requirements
  • Firstprinciples problemsolving and comfort with the pace of a startup building process where none exists
  • AInative workflow — daily, handson, not just prompting
  • San Franciscobased and committed to working onsite. H1B transfers welcome.
Who Tends To Thrive Here

The strongest profiles have already shipped something real and owned the outcome, not just the delivery, they've had to defend a plan to an engineer who pushed back, or to a manager under pressure for a visible win, and held their ground on what was actually right. You don't need to have run a full domain. You do need to show you can take a real, partlyconflicting set of inputs and turn it into a plan you'd actually stand behind.
Bonus Points

  • Financial services, fintech, or regulatedindustry experience
  • Conversational AI, voice, or agentic systems experience
  • Experience mentoring a junior PM
  • Shipped something 0→1 within a larger organization
What This Role Is — And Isn't

This is a real ownership seat for a subdomain, not a backlogmanagement one — and not yet a fulldomain strategy seat either. You're the one filling in the real plan for your area, defending it to your engineering partner and your manager, not executing someone else's roadmap line by line. If you measure yourself purely in tickets shipped, this isn't the role. If you're looking to set the entire company's product strategy on day one, that's the Domain or Principal PM seat, not this one — but this is exactly how you get there.

Why interface.ai
Series A

  • $30M raised
  • Cash-flow positive — we're not burning cash hoping the product works. It works. Customers are live, revenue is real, and the mission is one you can explain to your family without a slide deck.

You'll work directly with Bruce Kim (CTO / Co-Founder), who sets the technical bar and goes deep on the hardest problems, and Srinivas Njay (CEO), who is hands-on daily across product and engineering. Founding-team-tier equity, top-of-market base, comprehensive benefits, and a modern San Francisco office worth showing up to. The team is small enough that your judgment shapes everything, and the market is large enough that what you build will matter for a long time.

Which visas can work for this job

Occupation: Computer Systems Engineers/Architects (SOC 15-1299).

  • Mentioned in the listing

    H-1B

  • H-1B cap-exempt employer

Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).

  • TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)

This kind of role may fit the USMCA profession “Computer Systems Analyst (or Engineer, for engineering-degree holders)” — it depends on the actual duties. No lottery, no cap; you need the matching degree or license.

  • E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)

Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

  • O-1 (extraordinary ability)

For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.

  • STEM OPT extension (F-1 students)

Requires an E-Verify employer. We didn't find this company in the E-Verify list — ask HR.

Salary vs prevailing wage

Level II (qualified)

Computer Systems Engineers/Architects · San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).

LevelPrevailing wageH-1B lottery odds*
Level I$80,870~15%
Level II$121,014~31%
Level III$161,138~46%
Level IV$201,282~61%

This job pays $160,000–$185,000 a year — that's Level II (qualified). In the wage-weighted H-1B lottery a Level II registration gets 2 entries; estimated selection chance about 31%.

* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
