Job Title - Service Delivery Manager for Application Security or Cyber Security
Location - Alpharetta, GA
Duration - 12+ Months
Description: The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) will drive end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives within the Application Security organization, partnering closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a delivery-focused role, not solely a Scrum facilitation role. The SDM will bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, combining agile delivery expertise with project management discipline, technical understanding, structured execution and proactive stakeholder management. The SDM will own the delivery framework from planning through execution and completion, ensuring priorities are translated into clear plans, risks and dependencies are actively managed, stakeholders remain aligned, and teams maintain momentum against agreed outcomes and commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of multiple technology initiatives, from planning and execution through to completion.
- Establish and maintain clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and commitments, creating transparency and accountability across the delivery lifecycle.
- Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to translate product and technical priorities into realistic, executable delivery plans.
- Take accountability for maintaining delivery momentum, proactively identifying where progress is at risk and driving corrective actions.
- Own the identification, tracking and management of delivery risks, issues, blockers and dependencies, ensuring clear owners and timely resolution or escalation.
- Drive cross-functional stakeholders and teams toward decisions, actions and agreed delivery outcomes, using influence and constructive challenge where required.
- Bring a strong project management mindset to delivery, including planning, milestone management, dependency management, governance, stakeholder coordination and disciplined follow-through.
- Develop sufficient technical understanding of initiatives, architecture, engineering dependencies and constraints to engage effectively with engineering teams, challenge assumptions and understand delivery impact.
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and other agile ceremonies with a focus on decisions, accountability, actions and delivery outcomes, rather than facilitation alone.
- Maintain clear visibility of delivery status and ensure backlogs, milestones, metrics, risks, dependencies and delivery artifacts are accurate, current and actionable.
- Provide clear, concise and timely communication on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions and areas requiring stakeholder intervention.
- Ensure actions and commitments have clear owners and follow-through, constructively holding delivery partners accountable for agreed outcomes.
- Coordinate delivery across engineering teams and supporting functions, actively managing cross-team dependencies and hand-offs.
- Escalate early and appropriately where risks, decisions or dependencies threaten delivery commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery predictability, execution discipline, ways of working and team effectiveness.
- Partner with Agile Coaches where appropriate while maintaining clear accountability for delivery execution and outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience owning and driving end-to-end technology delivery across multiple initiatives or workstreams.
- Strong delivery mindset with a high degree of ownership, accountability and follow-through.
- Proven ability to take a complex initiative, create structure around it and drive it from planning through execution to completion.
- Strong project management capabilities covering planning, milestones, risks, dependencies, governance and stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of technology and software delivery, with the ability to engage confidently with engineering teams and understand the delivery impact of technical decisions, constraints and dependencies.
- Strong knowledge of agile principles and practices, with the ability to apply them pragmatically to achieve delivery outcomes.
- Proven ability to identify delivery risks early, establish ownership and drive issues through to resolution.
- Ability to challenge constructively, create clarity where ownership is unclear, and drive decisions when delivery is at risk.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on critical milestones and commitments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in communicating delivery status, risks, decisions and recommendations.
- Experience coordinating delivery across cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.
- A continuous improvement mindset focused on improving execution, predictability and measurable delivery outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile, Project Management or equivalent delivery certification.
- Experience supporting or delivering technology initiatives within Application Security, Cyber Security or engineering environments.
- Experience delivering complex initiatives involving multiple teams, dependencies and stakeholders.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Deliverables / Expected Outcomes:
Success in this role will be measured by delivery outcomes, ownership and execution, not simply the completion of agile ceremonies. The SDM will be expected to deliver:
- Predictable end-to-end execution against agreed priorities, milestones and commitments.
- Clear ownership and accountability across delivery activities, actions and dependencies.
- Early identification and proactive management of risks, blockers and dependencies.
- Strong visibility of delivery progress, milestones, risks and decisions.
- Timely escalation and intervention when delivery is at risk.
- Accurate and actionable delivery plans, backlogs, metrics and governance artifacts.
- Effective alignment across Product, Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Agile ceremonies that result in decisions, actions, ownership and measurable forward progress.
- Improved delivery discipline, transparency and predictability.
- Continuous improvement that demonstrably strengthens team execution and delivery effectiveness.
- Timely delivery aligned to firm's Security objectives and priorities.
Visa sponsorship record
No public sponsorship records foundWe didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name SANS in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).
Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.

Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

Salary vs prevailing wage
Information Security Analysts · Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).
| Level | Prevailing wage | H-1B lottery odds* |
|---|---|---|
| Level I | $87,131 | ~15% |
| Level II | $110,386 | ~31% |
| Level III | $133,661 | ~46% |
| Level IV | $156,915 | ~61% |
The listing has no salary, so we can't place it on a wage level. Ask the employer which wage level they'd file at: Level III–IV registrations get 3–4 entries in the H-1B lottery.
* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
