Job description

Golden Hills Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy is an outpatient physical therapy and wellness organization that has been caring for patients in the Greater Silicon Valley area since 1992. We serve with the spirit of a soldier, humble heart, and fun-while-learning attitude.

We are looking to hire a full time and/or part time Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy License Applicant (PTLA) immediately to our team. Candidates should exemplify our core values and culture, manage caseload effectively, and motivate and train the team of therapy aides. We lay strong emphasis on going the extra mile for our patients. Candidates should be licensed to practice physical therapy in California and interest in advanced manual therapy skills.

Additional qualities we prefer in the candidate are:

  • Women's health and/or pediatrics experience
  • Bilingual skills
  • Entrepreneurial go-getter/self starter spirit
  • Weekend availability

We are a participating provider in Medicare and majority of the PPO plans in our market. Our therapists do their documentation on a convenient online EMR platform (WebPT). We offer competitive base compensation in addition to performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefit package including PTO, medical coverage, professional liability insurance, 401k plan and long-term continuing education reimbursements.

We offer H-1B immigration sponsorships.

Which visas can work for this job

Occupation: Physical Therapists (SOC 29-1123).

  • Mentioned in the listing

    H-1B

  • H-1B cap-exempt employer

Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).

  • TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)

This kind of role may fit the USMCA profession “Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist” — it depends on the actual duties. No lottery, no cap; you need the matching degree or license.

  • E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)

Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

  • O-1 (extraordinary ability)

For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.

Salary vs prevailing wage

Below Level I

Physical Therapists · San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).

LevelPrevailing wageH-1B lottery odds*
Level I$109,096~15%
Level II$124,509~31%
Level III$139,942~46%
Level IV$155,355~61%

This job pays $90,000–$130,000 a year — below the Level I prevailing wage. For H-1B the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage, so the offer would have to go up.

* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
