Job description
Hiring: Finance Agent Orchestration Manager – Venture Capital, San Francisco
What if your next finance role meant building the future of fund administration instead of just keeping up with it?
I’m partnering with a well-established, mission-driven seed fund that backs founders tackling the world’s hardest problems in deep tech, science and climate. They’re making their second finance hire: someone who will sit at the centre of the fund’s finances and lead its move to an AI-native way of working.
Why this role is different
Most fund accounting roles are about keeping the machine running. This one is about rebuilding it. You’ll work directly with the Head of Finance to own everything that touches money across multiple funds, while leading the implementation of a new AI-native fund administration platform. The philosophy is simple: if you do the same task twice, build a system to do it for you.
With a small team, your impact is immediate and visible. You’ll shape the processes, tools and controls the fund relies on as it grows.
What you’ll own
- Fund accounting, LP reporting and capital account statements across multiple funds
- Implementation and calibration of an AI-native fund admin platform, from set-up to day-to-day running
- Automating repetitive finance workflows using AI tools, Excel, Power Query, SQL, Python and Airtable
- Clean, reliable investment data, valuations and portfolio company records
- Strategic projects alongside the Head of Finance, from office acquisitions to cross-portfolio work
Who you are
- 3–5+ years in fund accounting, fund administration, VC/PE finance or investment fund audit, or finance and implementation at an AI-native startup
- Fluent in capital calls, distributions, NAV, management fees and fund financial statements
- Hands-on with AI tools and automation, or genuinely excited to become the person who masters them
- Motivated by more than finance: a real interest in deep tech, science or impact
- Someone who enjoys ownership, moves quickly and likes building things that last
What’s on offer
💰 $133K–$160K base salary
📈 ~$150K+ in carry, taxed as long-term capital gains, and growing with every new fund raised
🏥 100% medical and dental cover
✈️ Relocation support, with visa transfers welcome (OPT, H1B)
🌴 Unlimited PTO and daily office lunch
📍 On-site, 5 days a week in San Francisco
This is a rare chance to combine VC fund finance, AI-driven automation and a mission that matters, with the carry to share in the upside.

Visa sponsorship record
No public sponsorship records foundWe didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name Savannah Search Ltd in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).
Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.
Which visas can work for this job
Occupation: Financial Managers (SOC 11-3031).
- Mentioned in the listing
H-1B, OPT
- H-1B cap-exempt employer
Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).
- TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)
This role doesn't clearly match a profession on the USMCA (TN) list.
- E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)
Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.
- O-1 (extraordinary ability)
For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.
Salary vs prevailing wage
Below Level IFinancial Managers · San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).
| Level | Prevailing wage | H-1B lottery odds* |
|---|---|---|
| Level I | $138,902 | ~15% |
| Level II | $191,651 | ~31% |
| Level III | $244,421 | ~46% |
| Level IV | $297,170 | ~61% |
This job pays $133,000–$160,000 a year — below the Level I prevailing wage. For H-1B the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage, so the offer would have to go up.
* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
