Job description
We’re Hiring | AI Field Engineer – Enterprise
We’re looking for a highly hands-on AI Field Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer / Applied AI Engineer / Solutions Architect to help enterprise customers move from GenAI experimentation to production.
Location: San Mateo, CA / New York, NY
Employment: Full-time
Work Mode: Hybrid / US-based remote-friendly
Base Salary: $176K–$224K
OTE: $220K–$280K + Equity
Travel: Regular domestic travel to enterprise customers as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of customer-facing AI/ML field engineering experience
- Experience shipping AI/ML production code inside customer environments
- Strong Python and Kubernetes skills
- Hands-on experience with LLM inference and/or training
- Experience with open-model serving frameworks such as vLLM, SGLang, or TensorRT-LLM
- Understanding of LLM inference trade-offs, model selection, agents, latency and performance optimization
- Hands-on fine-tuning experience — SFT required; DPO/RFT strongly preferred
- Experience with GPU optimization and LLM workloads
- Cloud infrastructure experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with platforms such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex AI is a plus
- Experience with POCs, load testing, evaluations and production deployments
- Strong enterprise customer-facing and pre-sales / field engineering experience
- Ability to communicate technical architecture and trade-offs to both ML engineers and executive stakeholders
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical discovery sessions and scope enterprise POCs
- Build end-to-end POCs and production integrations inside customer environments
- Run load tests, evaluations and deployment benchmarks
- Advise customers on model selection, inference architecture and fine-tuning strategies
- Help customers move open-model experimentation into production at scale
- Navigate enterprise infrastructure, security requirements and procurement processes
- Build relationships with technical champions and multiple enterprise stakeholders
- Partner closely with sales teams to influence technical strategy and drive complex deals
- Identify recurring customer challenges and provide feedback to product and engineering teams
Important
This role requires deep hands-on technical experience.
Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to closed-model API wrappers without exposure to open-model inference, serving frameworks or fine-tuning will not be considered.
Pure advisory/consulting profiles without production engineering experience are also not aligned with this role.
Visa & Work Authorization
Visa sponsorship/transfer support may be available for eligible candidates, including H-1B transfers and TN visas. O-1 may be considered case-by-case.
Interested? DM me your resume or message me directly on LinkedIn.
If you know someone who could be a strong fit, feel free to tag them or share this opportunity.

Visa sponsorship record
No public sponsorship records foundWe didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name AI Talent Hope in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).
Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.
Which visas can work for this job
Occupation: Computer Systems Analysts (SOC 15-1211) — estimated from the job title.
- Mentioned in the listing
H-1B
- H-1B cap-exempt employer
Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).
- TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)
This kind of role may fit the USMCA profession “Computer Systems Analyst (or Engineer, for engineering-degree holders)” — it depends on the actual duties. No lottery, no cap; you need the matching degree or license.
- E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)
Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.
- O-1 (extraordinary ability)
For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.
- STEM OPT extension (F-1 students)
Requires an E-Verify employer. We didn't find this company in the E-Verify list — ask HR.
Salary vs prevailing wage
Level IV (fully competent)Computer Systems Analysts · San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).
| Level | Prevailing wage | H-1B lottery odds* |
|---|---|---|
| Level I | $95,930 | ~15% |
| Level II | $120,536 | ~31% |
| Level III | $145,163 | ~46% |
| Level IV | $169,770 | ~61% |
This job pays $176,000–$224,000 a year — that's Level IV (fully competent). In the wage-weighted H-1B lottery a Level IV registration gets 4 entries; estimated selection chance about 61% — better than average.
* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
