💰 $200K - $300K base + competitive equity

Hires: 1-2 | Visa: Can sponsor most visas except net-new H1B (OPT, H1B transfer OK)

🎯 Process: Recruiter > Hiring Manager > Technical & Team Stages > Onsite (2-3 hrs) > CEO/CTO final

Client is building the AI Operating System for the Industrial Supply Chain.

We started with labor and became the fastest-growing staffing company in America. Now we're layering AI agents on top - product Neo - to automate manual workflows, unlock insights from data, and help warehouses, manufacturers and logistics providers make better decisions.

Backed by Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst ($45M+ raised). Founders Fund tripled down - Traba is the marquee company of Fund VIII.

This is not a research role. This is a founding platform-engineering seat.

What you will build:

You will put frontier models and agents to work across Clients staffing marketplace to automate how we source, vet, match and place workers on millions of shifts.

1. Applied AI (Product + Platform)

  • Define how agents automate the staffing pipeline
  • Architect core systems: real-time matching to autonomous vetting pipelines powered by ML + agents
  • Own platform architecture for what Traba needs 1-2 years out
  • Drive backend performance, reliability and scale

2. AI Agents / Neo (Agent Platform)

  • Architect the agent platform end-to-end: orchestration runtime, eval & observability stack, integration layer with WMS / TMS / ERP
  • Own foundational decisions: model strategy, harness design, retrieval & memory, tool/MCP surface, quality measurement
  • Build evaluation as an engineering discipline: datasets, graders, regression suites, experimentation tooling
  • Spend time with customers & operators in the field and turn insights into durable product
  • Hire & mentor engineers and partner with CTO on multi-year roadmap

Who we're looking for:

  • Senior (5+ yrs) or Staff (7+ yrs) level. 5-10 years total as a software engineer owning products end-to-end in early-stage, high-pedigree startups
  • Built 0-to-1 agentic AI products at fast-growing startups with high-calibre teams. Shipped agent systems to production at scale - you designed the harness, chose orchestration patterns, owned evals, carried on-call
  • Strong product intuition - you think like a PM, own impact not just code
  • Deep in Python and/or TypeScript / Node.js, distributed systems, APIs, PostgreSQL, Kafka / RabbitMQ
  • Excited to ship at high velocity, in early-stage ambiguity, in-person 5 days/week with high intensity
  • CS / technical degree, ideally from a top-25 university

Bonus: Marketplace / multi-sided platform (Uber, Instacart), Matching/Recs systems, AI labor/recruiting (Mercor, Micro1, Ribbon.ai, Rippling), building for non-technical users in logistics / supply chain / healthcare.

Stack: TypeScript / JavaScript, React, React Native, Node.js, Python, APIs, PostgreSQL, Kafka / RabbitMQ

Visa sponsorship record

No public sponsorship records found

We didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name Sirius Lync in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).

Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.

Which visas can work for this job

Occupation: Engineers, All Other (SOC 17-2199) — estimated from the job title.

  • Mentioned in the listing

    H-1B, OPT

  • H-1B cap-exempt employer

Regular cap-subject employer — a new H-1B needs to win the lottery in March (unless you already hold cap-counted H-1B status).

  • TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)

This kind of role may fit the USMCA profession “Engineer” — it depends on the actual duties. No lottery, no cap; you need the matching degree or license.

  • E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)

Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

  • O-1 (extraordinary ability)

For candidates with awards, publications, press, a high salary or critical roles at distinguished organizations. No cap, no lottery; the employer files a petition.

  • STEM OPT extension (F-1 students)

Requires an E-Verify employer. We didn't find this company in the E-Verify list — ask HR.

Salary vs prevailing wage

Level IV (fully competent)

Engineers, All Other · New York (state median of areas). Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).

L1L2L3L4
LevelPrevailing wageH-1B lottery odds*
Level I$74,558~15%
Level II$94,536~31%
Level III$114,535~46%
Level IV$134,222~61%

This job pays $200,000–$300,000 a year — that's Level IV (fully competent). In the wage-weighted H-1B lottery a Level IV registration gets 4 entries; estimated selection chance about 61% — better than average.

* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
