Applicants who bring substantial professional selling, sales leadership, sales training, sales enablement, or business development experience and who are interested in experiential learning, student coaching, and industry engagement are especially encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS: The University seeks a candidate who will contribute to undergraduate instruction in professional sales and marketing and who can help advance the experiential mission of the Centurion Sales Program. The successful candidate should be capable of teaching across multiple areas of professional selling and marketing, with particular interest in candidates able to teach courses such as Professional Selling, Sales Metrics and Analytics, Sales Technology, Sales Management, Customer Relationship Management, and other sales or marketing courses consistent with departmental needs and the candidate’s expertise. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of contemporary B2B selling practices, including prospecting, discovery, consultative selling, relationship development, presentation skills, objection handling, negotiation, account development, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales performance measurement. Experience with sales technology and CRM platforms, sales enablement tools, AI-assisted selling, digital prospecting, sales intelligence, or other emerging technologies used in professional selling is highly desirable. Minimum required qualifications include an MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution by August 2027. Significant current or recent professional experience in sales, sales management, sales training, sales enablement, business development, marketing, or a closely related field is strongly preferred. Experience designing, facilitating, evaluating, or coaching sales role plays and simulations is highly valued. Experience preparing or coaching students for collegiate sales competitions is preferred. Related experience in corporate sales training, onboarding, professional development, or coaching early-career sales professionals will also be considered valuable. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to be fully engaged participants in the continued development of the Marketing and Sales programs, in and out of the classroom; have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and coaching skills; demonstrate collegiality; and be able to work effectively with students, faculty, alumni, employers, and other constituencies of diverse backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The teaching responsibility includes four courses in both the fall and spring semesters, equivalent to eight courses per academic year. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to complete one of these courses as an approved student-centered immersive experience (equivalent to one course) for Hatter Ready, the University’s experiential, contemporary, and integrative learning initiative. Teaching responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s disciplinary expertise and departmental needs and may include undergraduate and graduate sales and marketing courses as well as offerings that meet the University’s General Education requirements. Interested faculty may also offer theme-based courses that meet the University’s General Education requirements (e.g., First-Year or Junior Seminars) or international courses through Stetson’s WORLD program and the Rinker Center for International Learning. A distinguishing component of this position is active participation in Stetson’s experiential professional sales education initiatives. Responsibilities may include developing and evaluating sales role plays and simulations; coaching students in professional selling skills; assisting with the selection, preparation, and coaching of students for collegiate sales competitions; supporting competition practices and related events; and helping students translate classroom concepts into effective professional selling behaviors. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the continued development of the Centurion Sales Program through student mentoring and recruitment, employer and alumni engagement, and relationships with corporate partners and sales professionals. The ability to help cultivate partnerships that support student internships, employment opportunities, guest speakers, role-play buyers and judges, competitions, experiential projects, and other professional development opportunities is highly valued. Additional responsibilities include undergraduate advising; assistance with student recruitment; service to the university, college, and/or department; professional engagement; and building partnerships with both Florida-based and national practitioners and potential employers. All candidates should demonstrate a passion for the highest quality of teaching and maintain appropriate academic qualifications consistent with AACSB and School of Business Administration standards. Which visas can work for this job
Occupation: Communications Teachers, Postsecondary (SOC 25-1122).

Likely cap-exempt (university, affiliated hospital or nonprofit research body): H-1B can be filed any time of year, with no lottery. Confirm with HR.
- TN (citizens of Canada and Mexico)
This kind of role may fit the USMCA profession “Teacher (college, university or seminary)” — it depends on the actual duties. No lottery, no cap; you need the matching degree or license.
- E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore)
Same degree requirement as H-1B, but no lottery and a separate quota that is rarely filled.

Salary vs prevailing wage
Communications Teachers, Postsecondary · Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach, FL. Annual prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor (OFLC).
| Level | Prevailing wage | H-1B lottery odds* |
|---|---|---|
| Level I | $54,600 | ~15% |
| Level II | $60,963 | ~31% |
| Level III | $67,327 | ~46% |
| Level IV | $73,690 | ~61% |
The listing has no salary, so we can't place it on a wage level. Ask the employer which wage level they'd file at: Level III–IV registrations get 3–4 entries in the H-1B lottery.
* Odds are DHS projections for the FY2027 wage-weighted lottery (actual results vary by year and employer). Since the FY2027 cap season the H-1B lottery is weighted by wage level: Level I = 1 entry, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. The level is set by the offered wage against the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite. Separately, a $100,000 fee for new H-1B petitions for workers outside the US was announced in 2025; as of September 2026 a federal court ruling keeps it unenforceable while appeals continue — check the current status.
