Job description

About Boost Engine

Boost Engine is a tech-led company redefining global brand growth through AI. Founded in 2024, we've quickly become a leading growth partner for TikTok Shop in the US market — surpassing tens of millions of dollars in monthly GMV, named TikTok's Top Annual Ecosystem Partner (one of only 5 worldwide), and recognized on Forbes' Startups 100 list.

We don't just use AI — we build it. Our proprietary systems, OperaX and AutoBoost, apply AI agents across market research, business analysis, strategy design, performance monitoring, data processing, and operational execution, helping global brands drive over $20M in monthly GMV growth.

Humans define the vision, make the business calls, and own the results. Agents unlock the productivity to get there. We're looking for growth talent who want to work alongside AI — using it to handle research, analysis, and monitoring, so you can focus on judgment, communication, and decisions that move the business. Join us as we push AI from answering questions to getting work done.

AI beyond "answering questions" toward "getting work done and delivering results."

The Role

You'll work on real business problems for US consumer brands — researching how brands grow, how they enter social commerce, and how they connect content, creators, distribution, and transactions — then turn that analysis into compelling business proposals, and executable plans.

This isn't a traditional e-commerce operations role, and it isn't a pure proposal-writing role either. We don't require prior experience with TikTok Shop, social commerce, or creator marketing — that's not the filter we're using. What matters more than industry vocabulary is whether you can get back to first principles on an unfamiliar business, quickly identify the variables that actually drive growth, profit, competition, and resource allocation, form an independent and well-reasoned judgment, and use AI to go deeper and turn your method into something reusable.

What You'll Do

  • Research and analyze — study US consumer brands, industry trends, consumers, competitive landscape, and business models; turn ambiguous client asks into clear problem definitions, hypotheses, and analysis plans; get to the core drivers of revenue, margin, and competitive position fast, even in an industry you've never worked in; separate fact from assumption and verify the data behind any claim
  • Design brand growth and social commerce strategy — analyze how brands connect brand, product, content, creator, distribution, and transaction; study how brands grow from awareness to purchase to repeat in social commerce; diagnose bottlenecks across product, content, channels, and execution; turn judgment into a growth strategy with clear KPIs and risk boundaries, balancing short-term sales against long-term brand building
  • Produce English proposals and business materials — independently or collaboratively build BD proposals, pitch decks, business cases, market entry plans, growth strategies, campaign plans, and JBPs; connect client goals, market evidence, and our capabilities into one coherent narrative; iterate quickly with the US BD, Strategy, and Operations teams based on feedback; own the logic, data integrity, and quality of what you deliver
  • Build AI skills, agents, and workflows — use "vibe coding" to turn your own research and analysis methods into working tools: prompts, templates, knowledge bases, skills, or agents the team can reuse; break frequent tasks into clear inputs, process, outputs, and human checkpoints; test new models and tools and decide what's worth keeping based on real results
  • Own the quality of AI output — never take AI-generated content as the final answer; verify research, data, and conclusions; decide what AI should own versus what needs your judgment; catch hallucinations, gaps, or unverified claims before they reach a client

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent structured thinking and business analysis — able to break down a complex, ambiguous problem into a clear framework
  • Able to get up to speed fast in an unfamiliar industry — build a point of view, find evidence, and test hypotheses without relying on existing playbooks
  • Sharp on business fundamentals: revenue, margin, customer needs, competitive advantage, resource allocation
  • Excellent written and spoken English — able to independently produce professional, client-ready materials
  • Independent judgment — doesn't default to convention, and doesn't take AI output at face value either
  • High self-direction — moves forward on incomplete information instead of waiting for instructions
  • Genuine, ongoing interest in applying AI — not just using it to write faster, but actively testing new models, agents, and automation tools
  • Real "vibe coding" experience — you can point to at least one AI skill, agent, or automated workflow you've actually built and used
  • No computer science or traditional engineering background required, but a real builder mentality is
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business, Media, Communications, or related fields.
  • Open to candidates with CPT/OPT/H1B or other valid U.S. work authorization.

Note: TikTok Shop, social commerce, and creator marketing experience are explicitly not required for this role — we're optimizing for how fast you can get past "I haven't done this before" and arrive at a better answer than someone who has.

Nice to Have

  • Background in management or strategy consulting, corporate strategy/corporate development, investment or industry research, market entry or growth strategy, or strategy/BizOps/special projects at a high-quality startup
  • English-language proposals, pitch decks, investment memos, or strategy work you can share
  • Experience working through a real, complex, information-incomplete business problem
  • Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Replit, Lovable, n8n, Zapier, or similar tools
  • Hands-on experience with agents, RAG, API workflows, or internal data/business tooling
  • Experience with US consumer brands, cross-border business, DTC, marketing, or growth

What We Offer

  • Real ownership of high-visibility strategy and BD materials for leading US consumer brands
  • A genuine shot at building and shipping AI tools and agents your team actually uses, not just adopting off-the-shelf software
  • A flat team with direct access to the founders — results-oriented, with real room to grow
  • A full-time base of $60–100K, set by your experience and skill set, plus a performance-based annual bonus

Job location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) — Remote/Hybrid elsewhere in the US also considered
