Job description

Come join our camp staff specializing in Adventure. Work with groups of 14-16 campers to facilitate a safe and successful experience during the activity period. Adventure Specialists need to have some experience with belaying, climbing, team building, boating and swimming. Requires 9 weeks of activity planning for children ages 4-14 and three weeks of training (low and high ropes and lifeguard). Positions are available at both Hillside and Clearpool locations. You must be available starting June 7th. Must be at least 18 years of age. Energy and enthusiasm for long days, a desire to work with children outdoors, prior experience working with children, teens, or adults in similar setting, outdoor living skills and/or environmental background, ability to accept guidance and supervision, and a willingness to work with and learn from people from different cultures and backgrounds are all essential skills for this position. Salary: Starting rate of $75 - $85 per day. International applicants’ salary is based on sponsoring agencies' pocket money agreement and/or experience. Stipend range between $1200 - $2700 for the summer season. Room and board is also provided to international staff for the duration of the season.

Visa sponsorship record

No public sponsorship records found

We didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name Green Chimneys in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).

Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.

Which visas can work for this job

  • Mentioned in the listing

    H-2B

  • H-2B / H-2A (seasonal and temporary work)

Temporary non-agricultural (H-2B) or agricultural (H-2A) jobs. The employer files a labor certification and petition; you apply for the visa at a US consulate. H-2B has a yearly cap of 66,000 (plus supplemental visas); H-2A has no cap.

  • EB-3 “other workers” green card

Permanent residence for jobs that need less than 2 years of training. Waits for this category are long (often several years).

  • H-1B

H-1B needs a role that requires at least a bachelor's degree, so it's usually not an option here.
