Our client is a globally established consumer technology and social media company, connecting millions of users through content, creativity, discovery, and community. With an international footprint and a highly engaged digital ecosystem, the company is investing in a new consumer product designed to unite the next generation of creative communities. This role offers the chance to help build something entirely new, leveraging the technology, resources, and reach of an established global platform. The New York team is diverse, fostering an environment where creativity, experimentation, and fresh ideas are central to the business.

Position Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Campus Community Lead to bring this new product to life through meaningful engagement with art schools, creative institutions, students, and emerging artists. This is a 0-to-1 community-building role at the intersection of campus engagement, creative communities, brand activation, and consumer growth. You will design, launch, and scale a campus community strategy, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across Brand, Community, Marketing, and Product.

Key Responsibilities

Campus Community Strategy & Development

  • Develop and execute a 0-to-1 campus community strategy targeting art schools, design institutions, and emerging creative communities.
  • Identify and prioritize relevant universities, art colleges, creative programs, and student networks.
  • Build relationships with key university stakeholders, including student organizations, career services, academic departments, and institutional partners.
  • Establish a scalable framework for campus engagement, community activation, and long-term relationship development.
  • Translate early community insights into actionable recommendations for product, brand, and growth teams.

Campus Ambassador Programme

  • Design, launch, and manage a campus ambassador programme from the ground up.
  • Identify, recruit, and engage student ambassadors, creative community leaders, and influential campus connectors.
  • Develop ambassador onboarding, engagement programs, incentives, and performance frameworks.
  • Empower ambassadors to build authentic communities and encourage organic product adoption.
  • Track ambassador effectiveness, campus engagement, and community growth.

Creative Community Building & Activation

  • Build meaningful relationships with emerging artists, designers, creators, and young creative talent.
  • Develop creative activations, workshops, campus events, and community experiences that encourage participation and product discovery.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships with art institutions, student collectives, and creative organizations.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, event partners, and community organizations as needed.
  • Create programs that encourage authentic participation, user-generated content, and long-term community engagement.

New Product Growth & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support the early-stage launch and growth of a new consumer product through targeted campus and creative-community initiatives.
  • Partner with Brand, Marketing, Product, and Growth teams to translate community feedback into product and engagement opportunities.
  • Experiment with different community-building approaches, evaluate results, and refine strategies.
  • Establish meaningful success metrics across campus penetration, ambassador activity, community engagement, and user activation.
  • Take ownership of initiatives from initial concept through execution, measurement, and iteration.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly social, entrepreneurial, and creative community builder who understands how to engage young audiences and turn relationships into active, growing communities.

The strongest candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in campus community building, university partnerships, student ambassador programmes, community growth, or experiential marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a campus programme, community initiative, or ambassador network from 0 to 1.
  • An existing network or strong familiarity with universities, art schools, design institutions, and creative communities.
  • Experience working with university stakeholders, student organizations, campus administrators, or institutional partners.
  • Strong understanding of how to engage Gen Z audiences, students, emerging artists, and young creatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build relationships and connect with diverse groups of people.
  • Experience planning and executing community events, creative activations, or campus engagement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple partners and initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, creative thinking, and a willingness to experiment with new ideas.
  • Ability to work independently in an evolving, fast-paced environment.

Visa sponsorship record

No public sponsorship records found

We didn't find H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 or green card (PERM) filings under the name Fuku in the Department of Labor and USCIS data. That doesn't mean the job can't be sponsored — the company may file under a different legal name, be new to sponsorship, or sponsor a visa that isn't in these datasets (for example H-2B or J-1).

Tip: ask the recruiter early, in writing, which visa they sponsor and whether they cover the legal and filing fees.
