Job description

About Nunchux AI

Nunchux AI builds infrastructure that makes multimodal generative AI faster and cheaper to serve and easier to build on. This includes image, video, and world models. Our work comes from nearly ten years of research at MIT and CMU. Our open-source project, nunchaku, has more than 4 million model downloads. Top VCs support us, and we build for enterprises and millions of developers.

The Role

Nunchux Modelverse is our model hub and API platform for multimodal generative AI. Developers use it to run the latest image and video models. Our business is growing, and we are looking for a person to help more developers discover and build on Modelverse.

As our Founding Marketer, you shape how Nunchux reaches developers, from the first announcement to the first API call. You turn our technical work into traffic, sign-ups, and paying users. You focus on developer channels, communities, and technical content. You work closely with the founders and engineers, and you have the freedom to shape the Nunchux voice and how we grow our developer audience. Your first priority is to grow the number of developers who activate and pay on Modelverse.

This role sits between developer marketing and developer advocacy. Your job is to help developers discover Nunchux, get to their first API call, and become paying users.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow activation and conversion: Track how developers move from sign-up to first API call to payment. Work with our engineers to improve onboarding and the self-serve flow.

  • Lead model launches: Plan and announce new models on Modelverse on their release day, across X, Reddit, Hacker News, and Discord.

  • Tell the performance story: Turn public benchmark results into comparison pages, posts, and landing pages.

  • Create technical content: Write for the Nunchux blog and run our developer newsletter. Write customer stories, and work with our engineers to publish technical posts, demos, and benchmarks.

  • Grow our communities: Build our presence in open-source model and AI developer communities, including our Discord, GitHub, and Hugging Face pages.

  • Build developer programs: Create programs that help startups and developers get started on Modelverse. Lead co-marketing with partners.

  • Partner with sales: Create case studies, one-pagers, and pitch material that help the GTM team win large accounts.

What You Bring

  • Developer marketing experience: 3+ years in developer marketing, developer relations, or growth at a developer tools, API, or AI infrastructure company. You can show how your work increased active or paying users.

  • Technical knowledge: You enjoy technical topics. You can read code samples and talk about models, latency, and pricing with engineers.

  • Writing: You write clear and accurate technical content that engineers want to read.

  • Data skills: You set up tracking, read funnel data, and use it to make decisions.

Bonus Points

  • Active participation in AI developer or open-source communities.

  • Experience with generative image or video models, or with ComfyUI.

  • An audience on X, YouTube, or a technical blog.

  • Experience with product-led growth at an early-stage startup.

  • Ability to build simple demos or landing pages yourself.

Why Join

  • Real ownership: You build the marketing function from the start and shape how developers see Nunchux.

  • Strong material to work with: You tell the story of a live platform, fast public endpoints, and an open-source project with more than 4 million model downloads.

  • Close to engineering: You work directly with the researchers and engineers who build our models and infrastructure.

  • Room to grow: As the business grows, your role and your team grow with it.

  • The team: Work alongside MIT, Berkeley, and CMU researchers and veterans from NVIDIA, AMD, Snowflake, and Adobe.

  • Compensation: $160,000–$220,000 USD base salary + meaningful equity + comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance and 401K. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Location: San Francisco, CA. 4 days in office, 1 day remote.

Start date: As soon as available
